Try to book as early as possible. Most lines, especially the the big ones, offer serious discounts to early-bird cruisers, those who book four to six months in advance.
First create your budget then search and browse internet for cruises that match your plan. Talk to your travel agent and ask him for installment plan, with a deposit up front. Many agents have secret deals that are not officially listed. You may get lucky.
If possible join the group. Cruise groups often has discounts offered by a line such as shipboard credits, lower room or port rates, etc..
If you are first time cruiser, research internet about cruise vacations or ask experienced cruisers about it. That way you will know where you are going and be able to prepare yourself. Some people come on ship with unrealistic expectations that prevent them to enjoy time on the ship. As much as cruise vacations are fabulous there is some limitations about it. Find about ships you are going on. Doe's it have all amenities that you like? Actually you have to find out this before you book. Same thing about destinations.Get informed. Plan your activities onboard as well as onshore.
Do not get bothered by small annoyances that are part on every vacation and every travel on earth. What ever happen try to get best of it and don’t let it spoil your vacation. Remember there so much things to enjoy on cruise and your vacation time is so short…
